Senior Counselor Memorial Scholarship — Texas Boys State

This is a separate scholarship from the F.C. “Mac” McConnell Scholarship.

The fund was established in the early 2000s in memory of longtime Texas Boys State counselors who died after providing more than a decade of service to the program.

Selection process

• Available to participants attending Texas Boys State.

• Senior staff select outstanding Boys Staters based on performance during the program.

• There is no application process.

• The number and amount of awards depend on the income available in the memorial fund.

• Recipients are announced during the Texas Boys State closing ceremony.
