The Cindy Mae Scholarship is administered through American Legion Auxiliary Texas Bluebonnet Girls State.

Eligibility and selection

• The student must be a citizen or delegate attending ALA Texas Bluebonnet Girls State.

• The scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving Girls State citizen.

• Available public materials do not state a fixed award amount or a separate public application deadline.

• Selection appears to be connected to the student’s participation and performance during Girls State.

Girls State delegates generally must be sponsored by an American Legion Auxiliary Unit or, under Texas rules, by an eligible school. Students interested in attending are directed to work through an Auxiliary Unit, school, or Texas Girls State staff.
