Dwight Rumph

I am a Paid-Up-For-Life (PUFL) member of Herman E. Rochelle Post 827, with over 17 years of dedicated service to the American Legion. My eligibility stems from eight years of active-duty service in the United States Army during the Gulf War Conflict Era, from which I was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant (E-5). Additionally, I am a member of the Sons of The American Legion (SAL), proud to claim eligibility through my father, Calvin C. Rumph Sr., a World War II Army Veteran.

Throughout my 17 years with the Legion, I have held numerous leadership positions across the Post, District, and Department levels. My past roles include Post Adjutant (2015–2017), Post Commander (2018–2024), SAL Commander (2018–2021), and SAL Adjutant (2021–2022). At the District level, I served as District 8 Finance Officer (2016–2017), Vice Commander (2017–2021), and District 8 Commander (2022–2024), during which I successfully revitalized two failing Posts and chartered a new Post in Spring, TX. I also served on the Department Long Range Planning Committee in 2022.

Leveraging this extensive background in leadership and operations, I am excited to help advance and implement the mission of the Texas American Legion Development Foundation.
